Sheets to Calendar — Help and support

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Sheets to Calendar turns the rows in your Google Sheet into Google Calendar events and keeps them in sync, without duplicates. Free for 100 changes a month; Pro is €5 a month for automatic and two-way sync. Questions or a problem? Write to [email protected] and we answer on weekdays.

Install from Google Workspace Marketplace

How do I start?

Install Sheets to Calendar from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Then open a spreadsheet and choose Extensions → Sheets to Calendar → Open side panel. Click “Insert sample shift plan” to get a tab with example rows, click Preview to see what will happen, then Sync. Click “Open Google Calendar” to see the events.

Which columns does it recognise?

Title, Start, End, Date, Start time and End time, All day, Description, Location, Guests, Color, Calendar, Reminder, Repeat, Meet, Time zone and Delete. The names are recognised in many languages. If your columns have other names, choose them in the side panel under Columns → Change.

Will syncing again make duplicate events?

No. Each row is linked to its event through the hidden column “Event link (do not edit)”, so syncing again updates the event instead of making a new one. The “Sync status” column shows what happened to each row. If you copy a row, the copy becomes its own event.

Do dates from formulas work?

Yes. The add-on reads the value the formula shows, so dates and times calculated by formulas work like typed ones.

What about night shifts that end after midnight?

If the end time is earlier than the start time, for example 22:00 to 06:00, the event ends the next day.

How do I make a repeating event?

Write it in the Repeat column, for example “Weekly”, “Every 2 weeks” or “Weekdays until 2026-12-31”. You can also paste an RRULE.

How do I delete an event?

Tick the Delete column on the row and sync. If you remove a row from the sheet, its event is kept, unless you turn on the setting “Delete events when their row is removed”. You can also undo the latest sync from the side panel.

How does two-way sync work?

With Pro, changes you make in Google Calendar are written back to the row. Cells with formulas are never overwritten.

Which time zone is used?

The spreadsheet's time zone (File → Settings), unless the row has a Time zone column or you choose another time zone in the settings.

It says Google's daily limit is reached. What now?

Google limits how many events one account can create a day: about 5,000, or 10,000 on Google Workspace. Nothing is lost: the rows that were not synced are synced later. With automatic sync on, that happens by itself.

I bought Pro. How do I turn it on?

After paying through Stripe, click “I have paid – refresh” on the Pro page in the side panel; it checks your licence again. Pro is linked to the Google account email you paid with, so use the same account in Google Sheets. If you paid with another email, write to [email protected].

How do I cancel Pro or get a refund?

In the side panel, click “Manage billing” to cancel, change plan, update your card or download invoices. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing is deleted. If it does not work for you, write to [email protected] within 14 days of your first payment and you get a full refund, no questions asked.
