MailFile saves any Gmail email as a PDF in Google Drive, with its attachments, in the right client folder. Free for 25 emails a month; Pro is €6 a month with no limit.

Questions or a problem? Write to [email protected] and we answer on weekdays. Tell us what the MailFile panel says, and we can help faster. Please do not forward the email itself: we never need to see your email to help you.
How do I save my first email?
Install MailFile from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Then open an email in Gmail and click the MailFile icon in the right-hand side panel. Choose “New folder” (MailFile suggests the client's name) or “Choose folder in Drive”, then press Save as PDF. The PDF and the attachments land in the same folder, and Open PDF shows you the result.
How does MailFile remember the folder?
Tick “Always suggest this folder for …” when you save. The next email from the same company (or the same person, for Gmail and Outlook addresses) opens with that folder already chosen. You see and delete remembered folders under the ⋮ menu → Folder rules.
Google asks me to “allow necessary cookies” when I choose a folder.
That is Google's own folder picker, which needs its cookies to show your Drive. Click Allow cookies once. If you would rather not, use “New folder” instead: MailFile creates the folder for you.
It says “This folder is not available”.
The folder was deleted, moved to the trash, or is no longer shared with you. Click “Create … again and save” to make a new folder with the same name and save the email there, or go back and choose another folder.
Not all attachments were saved. What now?
Gmail gives add-ons about 30 seconds per click. With many large attachments, MailFile saves what fits and shows a Continue button for the rest. Press it, and it finishes the job. A single file that cannot be saved is named on the card with the reason.
I saved the same email twice by mistake.
MailFile recognises emails it has saved and shows “Already saved” with a link to the PDF. It only makes a second copy if you press “Save a second copy”.
I paid for Pro, but MailFile still says Free.
Close the checkout window: MailFile checks your plan again when it reloads. If it still says Free after a minute, open the ⋮ menu → Plan & billing → Refresh. Use the same Google account in Gmail as the email you paid with.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Open the ⋮ menu → Plan & billing → Manage subscription. You can cancel, switch between monthly and yearly, add team seats, update your card or download invoices there. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
